Three cool Pinots

from California

Pinot Noir is a blue grape for producing red wines.

Classicaly used in Burgundy/Bourgogne wines in France and also popular in the United States.

Here are three solid choices that won't break the bank.

Enjoy!

  • District 7

From Monterey County to the south of San Francisco. Named "District 7" simply because it is the 7th out of Californias 17 grape pricing districts.

A very vibrant and nice wine. Pairs really well with Gruyère cheese. Quite fullbodied and somewhat, as Pinots go, dark in colour.

    Stored in french oak barrels.

  • Bread & Butter

From Napa to the north of San Francisco.

A classical type of Pinot Noir. Light in colour. Distinct notes of raspberry both on the nose and on the palate. Perfect to pair with light dishes or just drink as a social wine on a summers day.

Stored in both french and american oak barrels.

  • Irony

    Also from Monterey County.

Very similar to number two on this list so if you like that wine you will also like this one. A little bit lighter in colour compared to number two on the list.

Stored in french oak barrels for about 9 months.
